My Favorites
Music: Blues---smoky, ragged, and take over your head kind of blues. Classical, especially Romantic period on up. Bluegrass, psychedelic rock, alternative, torch music, big band....what's not to like? TV Shows: Inspector Linley, Law & Order, Scrubs, Eli Stone Movies: The Philadelphia Story, The Ref, The Clearing, The Russians Are Coming/The Russians Are Coming Books: Start with history, especially American and Western European; then a cup of science fiction and blend in world religions with a dash of baseball memoirs. Mix liberally with biographies and cookbooks, then let rise until brain is warm. Serve when ready, i.e.; any moment one isn't doing something else.
