Corzine being ousted was a long time coming & would have been beaten by just about anyone.

I do feel bad for NJ. They had a choice between an id iot & a an ace hole. No choice at all.

Another Democrat would have done better but there is no way that the party could replace Corzine at the time. He has been there a long time & has too much power. They will be better off with a new candidate.

I don't know much about the Virginia race & what issues were involved.

So in the battle between the fat man and the bald man, the fat man won?

Sounds like a microcosm of the battles on this board . I agree, though, sort of a lose-lose election.

Wait, why do I care about NJ elections again? And what did this have to do with Obama? I'm so confused. I think (and hope) the Obama administration is concerned with slightly more, well, global issues than the election of another corrupt New Jersey governor (do they have another type elected there?).

Good to see New York is finally getting a new governor since Bloomberg has already had his two terms...oh wait. Never mind. Does anywhere have decent people to vote for? Hahaha! That was a joke .

Remind me never to live in the northeastern U.S. And now that I've said that I'm probably going to be stuck there for the rest of my life. Sigh.

bloomberg was elected for a third term as mayor of new york city. governor patterson is not up for election until next year. btw, bloomberg does a good job of governing an ungovernable city. i do not like the way he skirted the term limits law, but the city could have a much worse mayor than him.

Good point, I sometimes forget there's a state around that city =). It was just the only other election I knew about (I think Texas had one too but frankly Texas's government is so confusing I didn't want to try and figure out what happened there).

The point was sort of the Bloomberg still is New York City's best option. Or at least the best they had at the election.

I suppose you could argue that governing New York City is kind of a lost cause anyway. You more of just try to keep it from exploding and stay out of it's way otherwise =).
