It's almost the end of the year and I don't want to spend New Year's Eve alone.
Last year, I had a blind date for New Year's Eve. Within 3 minutes of meeting, he told me he was losing his license in a week due to a recent DUI. Then he proceeded to get so wasted that he was singing and dancing for me (a la The Temptations) in a very classy nightclub. He also spent more than half the night taking calls from his sister who kept getting lost on her way into town.

So maybe spending that night alone isn't the worst thing that could happen...

But I wish I had someone to kiss at midnight (all the time zones) too.

... which means I'd better start my Christmas shopping, but don't spend all the money I need for taxes.

Oh, and I'm still friggin' single!

I hear you. Holidays are the worst. Especially the annoying relatives whose main topic of conversation is "When are you going to get married/have kids?"

No thanks. I'd rather stay home.

Holidays are just annoying because of my family...they are very...ummmm...irritating lately. Yeah, that's a nice way to put it.

Heh, they don't even ask me if I'm going to have kids anymore--they consider me a lost cause because I'm too old to have kids in their minds, and they harass my younger brother and sister-in-law now.

But I'm with you...I'd rather stay home.

We must be related sasha and brneyedangel. Our families think alike. They probably think I'll never get married or have kids either. Thanks to almost all of my cousins who have at least 2 kids. My dad even commented "I'm the oldest in my family and I still don't have any grandchildren." Gee thanks.

There's nothing like family.
