My 40th? I went to dinner with friends and family....much like my 39th, 41st, and most other birthdays. Oh, and my then-10 year old daughter held up a big sign in the middle of church which read "My mom the pastor is 40!" LOL.

I shall be celebrating my 30th soon. I was handed the detention duty list at school today and guess what??? Yup! I was signed up to have detention duty on my birthday!

I got it changed, but only because I have tutoring and guitar lessons that day

It seems that I've always had some sort of business to do on my birthday.

I shall make a declaration! I will do something great for my 40th!!!

On my 40th, my friends planned a progressive dinner party. We started at my house with drinks and presents , then moved for salad, moved again for dinner and more presents and ended with chocolate cake.
