Is there any difference in the following subject lines when EH sends an email about my new matches:

1. Meet "x" your new eharmony match.
2. Get to know your new match "x".
3. Find out more about your new match.

Just wonderin'....

Do they still send these emails? When I was first a member in 2007, I got one for every new match. Then they became erratic, and since I've been active again (a week now) I have not gotten any emails at all (new matches, communications, etc.).

I don't see any setting for doing that. Like I said, the matches began to get very irregular, then they just sort of stopped. And I use a dedicated email account for eH, and I'm sure they weren't going into a junk folder or anything like that.

You're correct. You can't turn match communications off. Only the icebreakers and special offers.. I do turn emails off if I'm on other sites..

Do you have eHarmony communication going to your junk folder?

I know of no difference between the various e-mails they send to introduce your new matches. Sometimes it will just say "Meet your new match" without having her name.

My favorite is when you receive a notification 'Crazy Belle just sent you a communication' then you go to EH just to find out that she just closed you out. lol.

This shouldn't happen.
EH does NOT send notification emails to you for Closes.

Now, you don't know what your Match did beforehand.

For example, I could see someone doing a "Photo Nudge", which WOULD generate an email, and then they would do a Close with a "Closed - No Photo" reason., which wouldn't generate an email.

If they were to do this in quick succession, it would appear to you that EH sent you an email for a Close...

Also, I suppose they could have changed their mind after sending you a communication, and turned around and Closed you.
