Trying to call the shots has not really worked out too well. lol I can meet more people or make more of an effort to "put myself out there", but the rest I simply leave up to destiny.

Some things can't really be managed or controlled and I believe dating is one of them.

When it comes to dating, do you feel as if you call the shots in terms of the frequency and quality of people you are going out with, or do you feel as if it's more a matter of fate/destiny?

~~~
When I've been dating (which I'm not now) I tend to feel both ways at various times....I've orchestrated enough successes to feel powerful in that capacity but I've also had enough chance meetings or things that felt like "fate" to believe in that as well.
~~~

How about you?
Back when I was dating, I did feel like I called the shots.

Then I met the one, and we called the shots together.

I believe in fate and destiny but I also believe we have the free will to choose. As for being in control, well is it not an illusion to believe we are ever really in control of anything?

If you can so delude yourself I wish you well with all that you believe you are making happen.

Not sure about that!

I can absolutely control who I reject. I can control who I seek.

About the only thing I can't control is who accepts me. Working on that one.
