I am 5'5" and I recently went on a date with a guy, eH first date, who claims in his profile that he is 6' tall. Now I don't care if I date a guy my height or taller, but most guys would prefer not to date me because they consider me too tall. Anyway the first comment the guy said to me was in regards to how tall I am. I wear 3to4 inch high-heeled shoes, and that night I was wearing about a 4" heel. I know he couldn't be 6' tall, and I don't know why he would lie. I am a nurse, and I know that I have had my height measured many times, without shoes, and my height measures 5'5", and so when I was head to head with this guy I knew something was off with his height. Why do men lie about how tall they are?

same reason women lie about their weight- they are insecure, and people can be judgemental.

I hear that! I'm totally insecure about my age. I'd totally lie about it but i'm bad at math and I'm scared I'd slip up.

That's funny most of us know woman lie about weight and age, men lie about height and age. Can't we just all get along, haha. Well I mean I figured as much that it had to do with insecurities, I mean that's the obvious. I guess I was just so excited about the date, the first date I got through eH. I had better hopes, and I ignored his appearance as I wasn't so attracted to the photos, but figured what the hey, and he tore me to shreds! Oh, well hey, back to the drawing board. thanks all

I think it's best to meet anyway, even if you aren't 100% taken with a match's appearance in photos.

a lot of the qualifiers people have go out the window when they meet someone in RL.
